Music Marketing #2

 Music Marketing #2

Research

Before my group and I began starting our presentation and music video, we made sure to do extensive research. Due to having researched our genre, we got an idea on how to target our audience and who we want to target. We researched various artists and production companies that work in the country genre. This led us to have an idea on which techniques are best suited to draw in the target audience and how we want our brand to be.

 Brain Storming/planning

Most of our brain storming contributed to the music video. Due to being more informed of our genre we had an idea on how we wanted to make the video. Additionally, we created a schedule  in which everyone knew what their job was and being able to finish it earlier so we have time to fix errors. We organized our thoughts and created a story board. In the story board we made sure to include all shots and angles to further prepare for the day we are filming. We also planned out our presentation. We had gathered all our intel and had to discuss it with the class, without reading off a PowerPoint. We each memorized our parts and information for our presentation and made sure to not read off  of them.

production

While filming our music video, the only challenges we had was that there were many people around us. However, it went very smoothly as we followed the storyboard. We got a lot of good shots in. This helps the video stay interesting. Another production process was created the slide show of our information. The slide show lacked the enticing appeal of the thing that brought in audiences. However, we did mention in small bullet points. While also elaborating in a strong tone of voice.

post production

I individually edited the music video in adobe premiere. I over lapped the music to make sure it matches the video. I also referenced ack to they story board many time to make sure I'm going in chronological order. I added a filter to make it look like an old west film without adding a grey filter to it due to the video being filmed at night.

Presentation

My group and i started off with a strong entrance. One member of my group had been interacting with the audience to gain more engagements from them. There were a few times where I would have to read off of note cards due to nerves getting to me. But overall i know our team got our point across.

Reflection

What I learned from this project is the importance of planning g ahead and researching. without researching none of my assigned tasks would have been made possible. I learned to also pratce more of my presentation prior to the actual graded presentation. This project will help me develop my  my Cambridge portfolio by teaching me skills. Like how to properly gather information for our research charts and how o market specifically to certain target audiences
